So tonight, I was cooking dinner, sipping on my card board box red wine, when my friend who lives across the grassy area- called me and said “Ahh, you might want to go outside….” and oh my gosh- I was blown away. The lights danced across the entire sky, it was so hard to know where to look. You could see the pinks and colours of the lights as they moved in sinuous swathes, twisting and turning across the sky, spinning and swirling, flickering and pulsating. I was absolutely stunned by their beauty. I was on my knees with my camera and tripod, at times resorting to letting out a string of expletives trying to express my amazement!!!
It is worth clicking on atleast one of these images to see a little bigger just how amazing this phenomena is.
Iceland, you are one amazing place to be.

they look great in lightroom, but somehow some of the stars have turned red when I uploaded them… not quite sure what happened there. I just shoot in RAW.
Thanks I am so lucky to have seen them 🙂
